Released on January 1, 2015, the varnishes will be available in department stores and salons nationwide. There are five greys and one deep red. Each individual nail lacquer is priced at £11.95 while a collection of minis comes in a £14.50 steely-coloured pack with pictures of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson looking sufficiently seductive and moody.
Each varnish in the collection has been named after a different aspect of the film. My Silk Tie is a pale, gleaming silver, Romantically Involved is a classic red, Dark Side Of The Mood is a stormy charcoal, a shimmering silver is called Shine For Me, Cement The Deal is a cool stone and Embrace The Grey is described as a “chic, moody grey crème”.
OPI co-founder and brand ambassador Suzi Weiss-Fischmann says: “The Fifty Shades Of Grey book series is one of the greatest publishing sensations of all time, with more than 100 million copies sold to date.
“Fans have fallen in love with the characters and are eager to see them translated onscreen. The collection captures the mood, feelings and emotions of this film with assorted hues of grey, ranging from glittering and gleaming silvers to cool grey crèmes to dark charcoal. The collection also features a rich crème red to represent passion.
“The collection bottles the film’s passion, luxury and power in six beautiful nail lacquers ideal for expressing sensuality through beauty.”
